Buddha and me...

Siddhartha-The Buddha(the enlightened one)'s life has been picturised in history in many ways.Then came the modifications from his disciples which led to various forms of Buddhism...mahayana,theravada,vajrayana...crap!!There is enough reason to believe that these all sub divisions must have happened due to power struggle between followers(disciples)after Buddha's death.

Today humanity is divided because of the wrong teachings of religious leaders. They have been asking their followers to kill those who do not follow their teachings. They think that peace will come if the followers of other religions are killed or are prevented from following their respective faiths. Catholics are killing Protestants or the vice-versa, Sunnis are killing Shias or the vice-versa. Hindus and Muslims are killing each other. The inter-religious or the inter-faith wars are going on around the world. What is most worrying is that this fighting will not stop and the mutual antagonism will continue to keep the humanity divided. This is the state of affairs we have got into today due to the sectarian teachings of our religious leaders. Should we still continue to listen to them?

I chose to love Buddha's principles because of its vision to see every material as having a soul.It teached me to respect the life of ants to spiders to a driving car having a soul...and the merge of all these souls and matter constitute the universe...
